First and foremost, it'd be nice to have "MOAB Message Board" as an option on the "Help" menu. Put this on all of your games. It would reduce the number of clicks by at least one, and might also foster a bit more of "player community" spirit.

Second, I would like to see some sort of reduction over time in cost per unit built if a city continues producing the same thing. E.g., 1% per unit to 25%, then 0.5% to the maximum of 33.5%. This would mean that the 25th army (and subsequent) in (e.g.) Miami would be produced in only three days. Or maybe that the second and subsequent unit produced in a city takes one less day when built in that city (but, were a player to switch that city from army to fighter and back to army, the first new army would still take 4 days). Ideally, this would be a game option so that classicists would be able to keep playing the same game.

Third, I'd like a "goto" command that sent my unit from where it is to where I want it to go unless an enemy shows visible within range. I'd like you to allow waypoints. I'd like to have a city automatically give a goto command to new units.

Fourth, I'd like a "patrol" command (a repeating goto with waypoints).

Fifth, I *really* like your inclusion of an option to change the attributes of the units. I'd like you to go even further in this vein so that your game truly becomes the mother of all wargames. If you haven't programmed with special code for each unit vs unit type, you might already have a data structure that would accomodate this. I'd like to see something like this:

#define MAX_TYPES 64

unit_type_class unit_class_types[MAX_TYPES] {
string unit_type_name;
string unit_type_description;
bit is_droppable;
short drop_transform_index;
int production_time_initial;
bit is_elite_transformable;
short elite_transform_index;
movement_mode_class move_mode;
combat_mode_class combat_mode;
combat_factor_type defense[MAX_TYPES], attack[MAX_TYPES];
unit_bitmap_type icon;
int load_size;
int load_capacity;
}

I'm rusty in C, but I think the ideas are clear.

The combat_mode_class would be something like: is_bomb, percentage by range in squares (allowing an artillery type of unit, or giving existing units like battleships [and cruisers, etc.] the ability to do off-shore attacks to inland targets).

That's enough for one day, especially since, if you ever do anything like it it will probably be a long time...

Actually, what I'd really like to see is the ability to form alliances! THAT would be cool 8) !
