The game was originally written in the days when monitors were almost all 640x480 with a few 800x600 ones. The idea was that you weren't supposed to be able to see the whole of the maze so you'd clear out one section without realising that they are breeding off the screen. I think if you could see all of the maze it would take away some of the excitement of the game.

BTW do you know that you can click on the map to quickly jump around the maze?

I know you can click on the map but it is awfully small when run on my laptop which has a resolution of 1920x1200. Running it in compatability mode in the 600 whatever resolution makes it look bad.

The four tabs are just shoddy programming that are a remnant of pathetic games meant for old computers. This game is no longer relevant. You say it makes the game more exciting but you shouldn't need a programming handicap to add excitement.
