Be able to switch players...

Post by Old Man Johnson » Sun Mar 20, 2005 4:25 am

In most sports games, there is a command to switch which player you control on your team (when you don't have the ball, "off course" [--Cloud Strife, FF7]). I think this could be useful because that way you could switch and try to tackle your opponent instead of having to rely on the AI.

Actually, you can already do that.
Go to Options -> Change Team Formation DURING a game and click on another dino.

Unfortunately, since the dinos aren't numbered, this method may not work the way you intended.

I actually really like being unable to switch players, its one of the best features. That way, you have to plan your moves better.

I agree! What I didn't like about old football games is that you always become the person with the ball so you never have to think about getting into space and shaking off your marker.

i actually like the fact that this game differentiates itself from other sports games, in that you only control one player at all times.

makes you think about working as a team with other teammates that you cannot control.

I Agree. Granted, sometimes the AI makes donkey mistakes, it emulates real life, in that one player cannot win the whole match no matter how good he is, if his team sucks.
