The setting

After two years of CM, I still don't get it. Is there some sort of civil war between the four races or something? If so, how come on the Role of Honour it says that the pilots gave their life to the Empire? Are they fighting to reunite a fallen empire of some sort? Are they fighting, sector-by-sector, in a Total War style war?

Are our ships small fighter/bomber squadrons or large flagships like those Star Destroyers found in Star Wars? I always pictured the smaller ships to be small one-man fighters and the larger ships (especially Anaconda and Warrior) to be capital ships.

Talking of Total War, it would be quite cool if Sean made a game like that: for example, each sector might have infrastructure (factories, starbases, turrets, asteroid mining facilities, and the like), a planet (Earth or another planet) and a number of squadrons stationed there.

i think the premise is you pick a race and then fight for that one
as your "empire"....

if you switch back and forth everything is still considered the same empire.
if you'll only die tired

Well, I started writing a little fiction about how Earth fits in with the other races. It's on my webpage, The Scrapyard, but I haven't worked on it in a while. Not sure about the rest.
