Flame Units: How to effectively use?

Post by pengopen » Sat Oct 04, 2008 2:38 am

Great Game BTW :)

I've been puzzled by Flame Units. Each time I've tried to get them to lay waste to the enemy, they take a hit and go up in smoke! It seems based on their fire range that they would have to be pretty close to a group of enemy units to be effective (and worth the trade of in terms of cost). Has anyone used them effectively?

Thanks.

I know I'm afraid to try. Seems like the game engine favors not running toward the enemy with a pressurized gas can on your back. Realism at its best.

A flame tank on the other hand...

when defending, sit your flamethrower on the objective. That or have a few out infront of your lines, so they can zap the tanks when they stop (they usually run away and get shot, though)

In attacks theyre less than useless
