Help says "The Assassin always wins when it attacks." but in the demo version I have twice seen my assassin attack and lose. The first time I thought I must have misunderstood the rules, but by the second time I was sure I understood the rules. In this case it attacked an 8. Is there a legit way for the assassin to lose when attacking?
Chris.

There is an option which is probably selected that assassin can only kill the general. In the demo you can't change the options so keep that in mind.

I need to update the help file! In the original demo the Assassin always won when it attacked and lost when it was attacked. That's the way I like to play but more people are used to the rule that the Assassin always loses unless it attacks the strongest piece.

When you start a new game click on the Rules button in the New Game dialog box. Then check or uncheck the "Assassin only kills the General" checkbox.
