New Topic Notification

Post by JeanBoule » Fri Nov 07, 2008 3:54 am

Is there a way to get this forum to notify me when a new topic is raised?

I would like to be notified in the same way as when I contribute to an existing topic "when a reply is posted".

If people remember to put a notice on this topic when they post a new topic, it would alert forumites to look for the new topic.

well . . . . . I think it's a good idea!

cheers

I'm with andy on this one.I used to have that feature on the The Blitz wargaming club, but I found it very annoying as my email was filling up with these emails.

I agree your inbox would get flooded if there were many topics raised, but with FF sometimes a couple of weeks go by with no activity. I tend to stop looking then dont see new topics until one of the old topics gets a reply.

FWIW, I hereby notify that I have raised a new thread about artillery!

. . . . me a bum? Je suis un tireur au cul ! ! !

I just check ever day or two when I hop on in the morning or at night to check email. It only takes a moment to look for the new activity.

So when did you last look?

It being a fornight since the previous post went to the forum.

As I have a huge number of time-wasting websites to visit, I gotta use all the automation I can!

cheers, may your search for Firefight posts be often rewarded.

New topics since Mar 22 09.

the space predator (Sun Mar 29, 2009 4:13 pm )has been having fun with FF. He wants a Motorized HQ when he plays "Only Tanks", oh and beach terrain to land on. Maybe you knew about that.

He has had a lively debate with General Prioux among others about WWII defensive lines. And the desireability of multi-player.

He has shown the Quitters Never Win principle to have at least one exception. see "Winning in defeat" post.

What Does "Fractal" Mean? asks Andy Brown . He has the latest version of the game and will no doubt tell us if there are any significant changes.
Help says Newsparta, and finds there are ways to reinstall the game.
Newsparta also adds support to the wish list.
Newbie topic talks about game appearance, desireable features and players being, or not, willing to pay for a significant new version if it ever appeared.
A quick, easy, and effective way to get the latest vehicle files into your game is described.
