Fractual Hills...
I'm having mixed feelings about the fractual hills.Sometimes they seem fine and sometimes they seem odd.At times the hills seem too rough, though they do seem more natural looking.I think the fractual hills are an improvement, but more soother hills should be added plus if I upgrade I will lose my most favorite maps.Just my $.02

My thoughts are included in the thread "What does "Fractal" mean?" further down the index page.
However, my biggest complaint is that, in producing ver 4.1 with the fractal hills, Sean has apparently turned off the ability to properly site long-range weapons in defensive battles by disabling the "F" key during setup.
Cheers,

hills
My main problem with the new hills is that the shabdowing doesn't seem to accurately indicate the actual topography of the hills very well. It is also *very* difficult to achieve good fields of fire for you troops in setup. Losing the 'F' button at setup is very unfortunate, and negatively impacts the realism of the game, since troops in the defense *always* check their fields of fire when preparing defensive positions.
