Graphics woes continue

Post by Tomahawk » Wed Aug 19, 2009 4:32 pm

As detailed in my "Map symbols - Checkmarks?" thread, I seem to have graphics problems with Firefight. I thought I had a workaround, but today I noticed that my graphics glitches have returned. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could do? Sean said that my computer doesn't seem to be loading the bmp files correctly.

Thanks,
Tomahawk

My old video card died, so I got a new one. Completely different card (GeForce vs. ATI) with completely different drivers, and still the same problem.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm fairly stumped, I've never encountered that problem myself.

Well, my problem is fixed.

I did a full reinstall of Windows (not just to play Firefight; I had a crash), and everything seems to be working just fine now, just the way I expected it to.

Always sorry to hear such desperate measures being taken, but glad that the issue could be solved eventually.
