Is it possible to add a new Civilian ship?

No, its not normally possible to add a new civilian ship since the user does not have control of the flotillas. The only ships you can control are your own fighters. You can design a custom ship without offensive capabilities but the game will never select that ship in a mission.

Fusion is right but if you've got a good idea for a new civilian type ship please email it to me and I'll consider adding it to future versions.
