Resolution

Sean, I increased the screen resolution and it made all the difference. You can see way more of the battle, the men aren't too small, the control panel doesn't get in the way, in fact you can see all the squads without scrolling. Very nice. Also makes MOAB way better. However, some of the games, like Slay, don't go to full screen at all. How difficult would it be to change that on those games?

I've made the window on The General "stretchable" but the graphics get more and more pixellated as you enlarge the window. It is something I may add to Slay in the next version though.

I just tried the General and think I'd rather Slay and Conquest stay the way they are.

However, I just tried Critical Mass and the graphics and zoom are nice. Is there any reason that system can't be implemented in Firefight?

Also, I've emailed and posted with my email address to get the link to the newest Firefight with the control panel hotkey. Is there something else I need to do?

Most of the graphics in Critical Mass are vector based (all the ships and missiles are made from triangles) so it's very easy to re-size them. In The General I just stretch the graphics as you enlarge the window so it starts to get very pixellated or grainy as you make it bigger. I could zoom out of Firefight by stretching too but it will slow the game down and you'll lose detail very quickly.

Well, the real solution is for me to get a new computer with a bigger monitor.

Btw, that link went to a Firefight 3.0. The version 3.0a came with the bundle so I don't see how this is an improvement. Also, it needed a password and I don't have one.
