Post by Nurkie » Fri May 19, 2006 5:33 am

I have the demo from way back of 1.0 and I was wondering if its posible to get a full version of that some how? I tried the 4.0 demo, and didnt like it as much, I liked the original better... guess I am just weird like that.

Pardon my asking, but which version was made in January of 1997? That is the full version I have, and was wondering if there was a way I could also get the newer version somehow. (is there a way I could prove I have it or something?)

See http://www.windowsgames.co.uk/criticalHistory.html for a full version history.

Versions 1 and 2 didn't have the version number written in the About box though. Bascially, if the ships don't have the 3-D look you are playing the "old" version.

Is there anyway I can get a copy of 1.0 though?

Yes, buy the current version and then send me an email letting me know.

But in the same respect, if I have the old verson (2-D ships in January 1997, somewhere after 2.0), could I prove I have it and then request the newer verson of the game, or would I need to buy it again if I would like to play it?

The same thing for slay, but I am fine with the old version that I have.

Send me an email and I'll check if your email address is in the orders database.

Well I have been talking with my brother and it seems he had tried it a while ago and you do not have us in your database. (nor would I remember a nine year old Email address, but he did at the time)

So if you do not have us in the database is there no other way to prove that we ever bought the game?

How about sending me a screenshot of the About box?

I took two shots of it and pasted them into paint, I will send them to you now.

(pardon for my lapse, I was in another town.)

I think I have the same version Warmaster mentioned (2D ships, the about box says 1997, although I can't find a version number anywhere).

Would it be possible to get a copy of the latest version if I e-mailed you a screenshot of the about box? I don't remember what e-mail address was used to buy it before.

Thanks.
