No server was found at that address

Post by Bad_Elmer » Mon May 29, 2006 7:34 pm

I get the error "No server was found at that address" when I try to connect to an existing online game. If I host one, the other person gets the same error. Any suggestions??

sounds like your not putting in the correct ip address
which is a common mistake....your probably putting
in something like 192.X.X.X which is your local one
you want your public one...

you also need to make sure your correct port
is open too...if you have a firewall it may be
blocking it....go to your firewall settings and
open that port up...try using seans default port
for the best results...both of you must be using
the same port too...

go here to see your correct ip

http://www.whatismyip.com/
if you run..you'll only die tired

thats a sweet website! It makes it so much easier for lazy people like me who are too lazy to hunt through the router for the new ip every time I change dorms!
I poop, therefore I am.
