Music to play Critical Mass by...

Post by cavemaniac1 » Thu Aug 10, 2006 11:46 am

Hiya!

I'd be interested to know what - if any - music people play while they're blasting aliens.

I pesonally find something with a pumping beat condusive to good gameplay - I've done really well with the likes of The Offspring.

Interestingly, I've recently had my first 'invincable' commander - since I started playing The Bloodhound Gang - there's something reasuring about blasting out their 'I Hope You Die' track at full volume as you dodge and weave!!

Try it for yourself!

1000 kills and still mounting!!

I'm the opposite, I like to play to quiet classical music... makes your victories more "civilised"!! (I also always turn the game sound off!)

I like to listen to ASH - Clones when I play it. It justs gets you into "the zone," so to speak.

Something in French... I find it gets the temperature up.

Jane Birkin or Madeleine Peyroux... maybe a bit of Carla Bruni... or the great album by the BBC - "Talk French" it's called.... ah, killing to the tune of track 23... "le singe est dans l'arbre"... track 24... "un cafe au lait, s'il vous plait"... pure class.

  Funiest post I've ever read on this forum, dpm!  and probably the last things I would ever listen to while playing (as far as I can guess about them when only knowing of the titles: "The monkey's in the tree"; "A coffee with milk, please").

... may be because I'm French  (please, don't tell anybody)

Didn't you forget "My raccoon loves ketchup" and "Darling, I think I've lost that f... tyre lever once again"? (Hum, sorry: "Mon raton laveur adore le kechup" and "Ch?rie, j'crois bien que j'ai encore paum? ce foutu d?monte-pneu")

ROFL LMAO PWPL and all this sort of things

I think you can't go wrong with fast-paced songs with strong beats, like punk or speed metal; it really makes it seem like the game is going faster, seriously! :P

Southern rock and louder, faster, harder country and rock.
