Grobville map coming soon

Post by Scot G » Sun Feb 25, 2007 8:36 pm

So far there are maps of various continents, countries, and states, be it fantasy lands or real world places. I haven't yet seen a map of a city to take over. Which method do you think would be best for designing a city map? Please view the sketches at the URL here: http://www.grobville.com/Conquest.htm

How come Sid is the only one that answers my poll questions?

Sid, I been to the map section and there's quite a lot to pick from. Can you give me the title of any of them?

urban siege
- Jon used my first technique in that one, so did keith with his McMurdo Station.

borshied
- Well if that's a city, it doesn't appear to use any of my methods, and neither does Manhatten and Montreal. This looks like the standard style used in continent and country maps. Think that setup would be better than the examples on my site?

houston
- Example 6 on my link appears to be the closest resemblance to how Tre set up this one.

london underground << maybe #1 for city maps SO FAR
- I didn't really like that one. That was rather confusing where the continent boundries are and how you could attack from the other side of the map. I think it would also be better if entire street sections were colored in, instead of having them little circles.
