As everyone knows, the unit status page gives one the ability to see how each unit/man performed; how much ammo is left, whether he is wounded, and for what kills he is credited. It also lists cause of death. I have seen some interesting causes of death, which I think really testify to the complexity of the combat engine behind this game.
There are the usual, like "small arms fire", "vehicle exploded", "machine gun fire", and "artillery" but there are others, as well.
The types of rounds fired by tanks and field guns are distinguished, as well (can't name them off the top of my head other than "armor-piercing"), but the most unusual that I have seen are:
