Hi everyone
I bought Slay a few years back for Android. Having not played it in such a long time I thought I'd give it a go on my tablet over the break (happy Christmas btw!).
Unfortunately on a Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2" tablet it's crashing every time I try and load it. This is the process:
Load game
Splash screen
Select an island
Select island
Island shows for half a second, then a message pops up "Unfortunately Slay has stopped", closes back to the home screen.
I've tried reinstalling, rebooting...not sure what else I can do to troubleshoot on an Android.
Tablet model is SM-P900
Android version is 5.0.2
Nothing works so I'm out of luck at the moment.
Has anyone else had this and do you know of a fix for it? With Slay being such a niche game I can't find any information about solutions online.
Thanks in advance.

I thought I'd post an update as this thread has had a surprisingly high amount of views in a few days, but no replies. I guess maybe other people are having issues?
I emailed Sean about the problem and he got back to me today very quickly and will be looking into it.
If a fix is found I'll update this thread.

This just started happening to me on a Pixel 2XL after running successfully for months. I cleared the cache and data so I could start over, and it failed to run again.

Re: Slay crashing every time on Android
Please accept my apologies for the lack of updates on Android Slay. The Android version was ported by a friend of mine and he hasn't got the free time anymore to keep it up to date on new devices. I have actually done a port of my latest iOS code to Android and it's all ready to go live, except it can't yet open the existing score table. If I release it now I think a lot of people will be *VERY* upset if they think all their past scores have been wiped.
I'm waiting for my friend to do a quick update so the score table is re-saved in a format my version can read. If I can just get him to do that then I'll go ahead with releasing my version once I think enough people have updated.
