Wizard over the internet

Is there a way to play Wizard over the internet and not just on my LAN?

I used Apple's own networking system which only allows connections to be made over a local WiFi network or using Bluetooth. In the future I'll look into using an internet wide system, but that will make discovering and connecting to devices a bit more complex.
